Men's tennis sophomore Diego Valdenegro is the Community Bank/GoBonnies.com Athlete of the Week after posting a 4-2 overall record at the Men's Collegiate Tennis Invite at the USTA National Tennis Center capped by a perfect 3-0 record on the final day.

Valdenegro went 2-1 in singles and doubles play at this past weekend's event, including an impressive doubles run with teammate Mikhail Sudakov on Saturday as they defeated Yale and Princeton 9-7 and 8-2, respectively. Following this weekend's action, the Santiago, Chile native owns an impressive 8-2 singles mark as well as a 5-2 record in doubles.

St. Bonaventure will take a few weeks off from match play, returning Thursday, October 16, when it heads to Hamden, Conn. for the ITA Regional Championship.
