Erin Finnegan enters her second year as an assistant athletic trainer on the St. Bonaventure sports medicine staff.

Finnegan's primary responsibilities are with the women's basketball, women's soccer and softball programs.

Prior to her arrival at St. Bonaventure, Finnegan served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Ohio University. While working in Athens, Ohio, Finnegan earned a master's degree of science in athletic training education in 2006.

During her stint with the Bobcats, she covered men's and women's rugby and men's and women's lacrosse at the club level.

Along with her duties on the field, the West Seneca, N.Y. native also conducted evaluations and rehabs for all of the 32 club sports teams and served as a teacher's assistant and co-instructor in Ohio's undergraduate sports medicine program.

Finnegan graduated with a bachelor's degree of science in athletic training from Canisius College in 2005. As an athletic training student with the Golden Griffins, she worked with a variety of their Division I sports teams.

During her undergraduate career, Finnegan worked with the women's basketball and softball teams at Niagara University during a three-month internship.

Finnegan is currently a member of the National Athletic and New York State Athletic Trainer's Associations.
