Darryn Fiske is in his ninth year as St. Bonaventure's head strength and conditioning coach, in which he manages the development of all 14 varsity athletic teams.
During his tenure with the Bonnies, Fiske has assisted in the upgrade of the S.D. Boser Varsity Weight Room into one of the state-of-the-art facilities in the Atlantic 10.

His workouts push to accomplish three things: maximize potential for athletic performance, minimize risk of injury and make a mentally and physically tough athlete.
Prior to his arrival at St. Bonaventure, Fiske spent one year as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Miami University of Ohio. While working with the RedHawks, Fiske oversaw the growth of the football, men's basketball, soccer, hockey and baseball teams.
Before his stint in Oxford, Ohio, Fiske was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Cincinnati for two years. His primary responsibilities included working with the football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and men's soccer teams. Fiske also managed the varsity weight room's student assistant staff and taught several university classes on strength training and physical conditioning.
Fiske got his start in the profession as a volunteer assistant strength and conditioning coach for the University of Buffalo's football team in 1996.
Throughout his career, Fiske has helped mold numerous athletes who have advanced to the professional level, such as Kenyon Martin, Danny Fortson, Wally Szczerbiak, Kevin Youkilis, JR Bremer and Brian Pellegrini.
A native of Albany, N.Y., Fiske earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Buffalo and a master's degree in exercise science from Miami University of Ohio. In December 2006, he completed his master's in professional leadership from St. Bonaventure.
Fiske is a certified member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He and his wife Susan reside in Salamanca, N.Y., and have two daughters: Emma (6) and Alicia (4).
