As A Sophomore (2010)
As a sophomore was one of only two Bonnies to start all 48
games, including 11 on the mound. At the
plate…hit .324 with 10 home runs, 42 RBI and 31
runs scored…second on team in home runs, hits, doubles, and
total bases…stole 12 bases and was only caught stealing
once…had back-to-back multi-home run games on March 17 and
24 against Niagara and Canisius, respectively…On the
mound...made 11 starts and two relief
appearances…record of 2-5 with an 8.49 ERA over 46.2
innings…second on the team with 41
strikeouts…career-high seven strikeouts against Charlotte on
March 27.
As A Freshman (2009)
Made 27 starts in the outfield and saw action in 37 games …
also made seven appearances on the mound … At the
plate … hit .181 with 18 singles and one
double … scored nine runs and drove in another eight
… worked 12 walks … had a hit in 13 games, including
four multi-hit performances … opened with a hit in 10 of his
first 20 games played … went 3-for-5 with a run scored and
two RBI in first career game against Lehigh … followed with
another three-hit game four days later against SIU Edwardsville
(Mar. 9) … went 3-for-4 against SIU with lone double of the
year … had an RBI in three straight games vs. Big 4 rivals
Niagara and Canisius … On the
mound … made six relief appearances and one
start … sported a 0-1 record with a 5.40 ERA over 11.2
innings … struck out 11 batters … had multiple
strikeouts in four of six relief appearances despite never pitching
more than three innings … recorded six strikeouts over first
three innings of the season … pitched a scoreless inning in
first appearance against Lehigh (Mar. 5) … struck out the
side in only inning of work against Buffalo (Apr. 28).
High School
A sensational multi-sport athlete who excelled on both the baseball
diamond and football field ... named to the All-District first team
for baseball over final two seasons ... earned All-District honors
as a pitcher in his senior campaign ... went 7-2 on the mound with
89 strikeouts in just over 56 innings of work ... accounted for
seven of Elk County Catholic's 12 wins ... also had a .460 batting
average with 20 runs scored, five home runs, 28 RBI, 25 intentional
walks and 14 stolen bases ... All-District accolades in 2007 came
as an outfielder ... posted a .452 batting average and team-highs
in home runs (6) and RBI (33) ... struck out 93 batters in just 68
innings for a 8-2 record and 1.84 ERA ... in the fall of 2007, set
school records for touchdown receptions in a game (4), finishing
the season with 27 grabs for 605 yards and eight scores.
