Final Stats

BRADENTON, Fla. - St. Bonaventure moved to 2-0 on the baseball season with a 4-2 win over Holy Cross on Tuesday at IMG Academy.

Sophomore Mike McCormack allowed just five hits and two runs and struck out five over 6-1/3 innings to record the victory.

Junior lefty Matt Landahl pitched 1-2/3 innings of scoreless ball and earned his first save at St. Bonaventure. Senior Matt Gunesch pitched a scoreless ninth inning.

Senior designated hitter Josh Paine and freshman outfielder Dan Bratys both had two hits in the game.

The Bonnies continue their Spring Break schedule of games Wednesday with a 10:30 a.m. contest against Valparaiso, also in Bradenton.
