PHONE: (716) 375-2257 Greg Lewis was named Director of Basketball Operations for the St. Bonaventure University men's basketball team in June of 2006. Lewis played for the Bonnies for two seasons. He earned a spot as a walk-on after he spent two years at Alfred State College. As a senior in 2004-05, Lewis played in all 28 games, earned eight starts and averaged 1.8 points per game. Lewis played in 21 games in the 2003-04 season and was the recipient of the team's Rev. Brian Lhota Award, which is given to a player who by his attitude, desire and pride for St. Bonaventure basketball best exemplifies the life of the late University president. This past year, Lewis served as assistant strength and conditioning coach at St. Bonaventure while completing his undergraduate degree. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Lewis attended high school in Houston, Texas, where he was an all-state selection at Houston Christian. "It is a pleasure to add Greg to the staff," St. Bonaventure head coach Anthony Solomon said. "I have enjoyed watching him mature over the last several years. His work ethic and enthusiasm was valued while he was a student-athlete. Greg's desire to develop and to succeed will be channeled in a new direction with this opportunity."
