Jake Luhn

Director of Basketball Operations

It would be an understatement to say that Jake Luhn is involved in every single aspect of St. Bonaventure's basketball program. As director of basketball operations from 2003-06 and an assistant coach in 2006-07, he has had a hand in running all facets of the team. In addition to his on-court work with the players, Luhn also helps oversee the academic progress of the student-athletes, prepares game plans, scouts opponents, develops perimeter players, has a hand in all recruiting efforts, manages the team budget and oversees the Sixth Man Club.

Luhn also directs the Summer Basketball Schools, which enjoyed record attendance each of the past three summers thanks in large part to his year-round efforts. Luhn graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in May 2002 with a degree in exercise science and physical education. He was a three-year letterwinner for the UMass-Boston basketball team, and captained the squad his junior and senior seasons. Luhn was named UMass-Boston Student-Athlete of the Year both his junior and senior years. In the 2002-03 academic year, Luhn was the men's basketball graduate assistant coach and assistant for academic advising at UMass-Boston. Luhn completed a master's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts in 2006. A native of Melbourne, Fla., Luhn and his wife, Jodi, have a son, J.J., and a daughter, Julia, who was born in September 2006.
