Bonnies Have An Off Day Against The Hawks

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Rob Ferguson scored a career-high 22 points as Saint Joseph's led wire-to-wire in an 82-51 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday. Abdulai Jalloh added 18 points and equaled a career-best with nine rebounds for the Hawks (10-9, 4-5 Atlantic 10). Paul Williams led St. Bonaventure (6-14, 0-9) with 10 points, as the Bonnies lost their 14th straight conference game. Saint Joseph's broke the game open midway through the first half with a 13-0 run that culminated in a Dwayne Lee 3-pointer with 4:05 to go before intermission. It was part of a 23-4 burst that gave the Hawks a 39-19 halftime lead. In his first start, Saint Joseph's freshman center Alvin Mofunanya set a career high with 13 points, as the Hawks defeated St. Bonaventure for the 11th straight time. St. Bonaventure found itself out of this one early, as the Bonnies shot just 6-for-22 and committed 12 turnovers in the first half.
