Chris Ekimoff is entering his first season as an assistant coach at St. Bonaventure.

Prior to his appointment on the Bonnies' staff, Ekimoff spent four years in the pool for the Brown and White, where he helped lead the Bonnies to the Atlantic 10 Championship as a junior and second place finishes during his other three seasons in the water.

In his final season, Ekimoff was named the A-10 Men's Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Year. As a senior, he posted the Bonnies top times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.19), 500-yard freestyle (4:47.26), 1,000-yard freestyle (9:43.80) and 1,650-yard freestyle (16:24.46).

In the final conference tournament of his career, he guided the Bonnies to a second place finish at A-10s by earning gold in the 200-yard freestyle (1:40.76), as well as bronze in the 500-yard freestyle (4:35.76) and 1,650-yard freestyle (16:00.85).

As a junior, Ekimoff was a member of the 2006 Academic All-Conference Team and was recognized as the A-10 Swimmer of the Week in back-to-back weeks. He set a Reilly Center pool record in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:33.57) on Jan. 18, 2006 against Canisius.

Ekimoff previously served as a coach at the St. Bonaventure Competitive Edge Swim Camp and as a learn-to-swim instructor.

Ekimoff graduated from St. Bonaventure in 2007 with a degree in accounting and was named the Ideal Bonaventure Man following his final year in the Brown and White. He currently is pursuing his MBA with a concentration in accounting.
