ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Seniors Scott Jordan and James Wood have both been selected to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team in voting conducted by the league's sports information directors, announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the first postseason distinction for Jordan, while Wood captured a spot on the Academic All-Conference squad last season as well. Jordan concluded his final season in the Brown and White with his third straight title in the 100-yard breaststroke (56.53) at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship. The Higganum, Conn. native also added two more top ten finishes at the season-ending tournament as he touched the wall second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:03.75) and sixth in the 200-yard IM (1:54.25). Jordan also helped guide the second place Bonnies to a trio of top three results in relays, including a first place finish in the 100-yard medley relay. Since his arrival on campus, Jordan has never finished below third in the 200-yard breaststroke while holding 10 individual top 10 and two additional top 20 finishes at the A-10 Championship. He also boasts a cumulative grade point average of 3.156 in English. Wood garnered his second appearance in a row on the Academic All-Conference team after being selected following his junior campaign.
