Men's tennis falls to Xavier on Senior Day

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team fell to Xavier, 4-1, on Friday afternoon at the Olean Fitness Center.

Playing in their final home game of their careers, seniors Alejandro Nery, Dejan Stankovic and Andrew Hart were honored prior to the start of the match.

Freshman Diego Valdenegro was the only Bonnie to come away with a singles win as he defeated Jeremy Miller 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. Valdenegro teamed with sophomore Victor Lecina at No. 3 doubles for teams only doubles victory.

The Bonnies will play their final two matches of the season on the road before heading to Pittsburgh for the Atlantic 10 Tournament. St. Bonaventure will take on George Washington on March 31 and UMBC on April 1.
