MONROEVILLE, Pa. - The fourth-seeded St. Bonaventure men's tennis team opened the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament with a 4-0 win over #13 La Salle on Thursday afternoon at the Club 4 Life.

Win the win, the Bonnies will take on the winner of the #5 Duquesne vs. #12 Fordham match in the quarterfinals tonight at 8 p.m. The Brown and White defeated the Dukes 5-2 back in early February.

The Bonnies held strong in singles play as they ended the match with three convincing singles victories. Senior Alejandro Nery took down Ross Flockerzie 6-1, 6-0 at No.1 singles. Valdenegro picked up his second win of the match at No.2 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Scott Karwowski.
