Men's Tennis moves into A-10 Semifinals with win over Duquesne

MONROEVILLE, Pa. - The fourth-seeded St. Bonaventure men's tennis team turned in its second-straight 4-0 shutout in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, this time against #5 Duquesne in the quarterfinals late Friday night at the Club 4 Life. The Bonnies advance into Saturday's semifinal round where they will take on top-seeded Charlotte at 2 p.m. The other semifinal match will also be played at 2 p.m. and will feature #2 Xavier against #3 George Washington. St. Bonaventure picked up the doubles point as its top to teams earned victories. The No.1 doubles duo of senior Alejandro Nery and Jonathan Luce had a little trouble as they posted an 8-1 win, while seniors Dejan Stankovic and Andrew Hart earned a hard fought 8-6 win at No.2 doubles. Again, it was Nery getting things started as he posted a dominating 6-1, 6-3, win over Paul Clough at No. 1 singles. Hart stepped in at No. 3 singles and cruised to a 6-2, 6-2, victory over Adam Townsend. The match-ending point came when junior Leo Mochizuki defeated Jeremy McClelland 6-3, 7-5 at No. 4 singles. # 4 St. Bonaventure 4, #5 Duquesne 0
