Bonnies continue strong play in Fall Classic

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team continued their strong play on Day 2 of the St. Bonaventure Men's Tennis Fall Classic, as they finished perfect on Saturday, going 12-0 in singles matches. Bona junior Alejandro Nery defeated Scott Kathery (Youngstown State) 6-4, 6-2, as well as Walter Garcia (Niagara) 6-4, 7-6, at No. 1 singles. Freshman Leo Mochizuki produced two wins for the Bonnies at No. 2 singles, defeating Brian Meek (Youngstown State) 6-2, 6-2, and Marc Dickinson (Niagara) 6-4, 6-2. Other Bonnies who contributed to the undefeated day of singles matches were junior Andrew Hart, junior Dejan Stankovic, sophomore Antonio Farias, and freshman Jonathan Luce, each finishing the day 2-0. The entire tournament is being played with an individual format only. Play resumes on Sunday at 9 a.m., as individual and doubles winners will be crowned.
