Cross Country competes at the National Catholic Invitational at Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The St. Bonaventure men's cross country team brought home a 29th place finish out of 31 teams on Friday afternoon in the National Catholic Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. Notre Dame finished first in the men's Division I race. Senior Andrew Shulha finished first for the Bonaventure men for the third time in a row this season. He completed the five mile run in 29:00, which placed him 147 out of 237 runners. Senior Matthew Wilber crossed the line second for St. Bonaventure at 29:48, good for a 178th place finish. Sophomore Justin Isaman finished seconds behind Wilber at 30:06 with a 186th place finish while freshman David Herlihy (30:52) and sophomore Grant Lytle (31:22) were the last Bonnies to cross the line.
The Bonnies will compete again on Saturday, Sept. 23, running at the University of Buffalo Open Invitational in Amherst, N.Y. The men's race will begin at 11:45 a.m.
