Jacey Brooks enters her second season in the role of director of operations for the St. Bonaventure women's basketball program.
The Machias, N.Y. native provides the Bonnies with an energetic passion, diligent work ethic and a strong knowledge of the game of basketball.
In her current role with the Brown and White, Brooks assists in the day-to-day operations of the team, including program organization, travel and video exchange.
Brooks finished a successful playing career at Buffalo State College two years ago as the fourth leading scorer in program history with 1,219 points. The four-year captain was a two-time All-SUNYAC performer and helped lead the Bengals to three straight SUNYAC tournaments.
She culminated a four-year collegiate stint with averages of 11.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Brooks is one of only nine players in program history to surpass the 400-point mark in a single-season with 419 tallies as a junior.
For the second straight summer, Brooks served as an assistant coach on the Western region bench in the women's Open Division at the Empire State Games. This past year, she helped lead Western to a silver medal following a 2-1 record in group play.
The Franklinville High School graduate earned a bachelor of science degree in Health and Wellness from Buffalo State in 2006. Brooks was a perennial selection to the SUNYAC All-Academic team and the conference Commissioner's List throughout collegiate career.
