Sarah Cartmill enters her third year on the St. Bonaventure women's basketball staff.

Since Cartmill's arrival on the Bonnies' bench, she has developed into a vital asset during the program's two most successful seasons in school history. Her experiences as a successful collegiate and professional player have aided in the development of the Brown and White both on and off the floor.

Her responsibilities with the Bonnies include recruiting, player development, practice and game preparation, travel and program organization.

A former standout player at Binghamton University, Cartmill played professional basketball in Europe for three years.

Cartmill was named the America East Conference Player of the Year as a senior in 2001-02. A three-time All-Conference selection, the 6-0 forward scored 1,836 points and grabbed 784 rebounds over a four-year collegiate career. She ranks as Binghamton's second all-time leading scorer, third in rebounding and first in career games played (116). Over four seasons with the Bearcats, Binghamton posted a combined record of 94-22.

Following a successful collegiate career, Cartmill continued to play basketball with two seasons in the Irish Superleague for Scruffy's St. Paul's. In her first stint overseas, she averaged better than 20 points per game during both years and led the club to a spot in the league finals. Cartmill then moved to Denmark in 2004-05 to play for the Sisu Basketball Club. She led Sisu to its first Danish National Cup since 1999 and was named the post-season tournament's Most Valuable Player. Cartmill averaged 20.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game during final season with Sisu.

Cartmill started in the coaching ranks as an assistant at Ithaca College in hometown of Ithaca, N.Y.

The Cartmill family already owned ties to St. Bonaventure prior to her arrival as her older brother, Chris, played golf for the Bonnies until 2000.

She was named to the All-State team three years in a row and set school records with 1,900 points and 998 rebounds.
