Final Stats

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2006-07 campaign has been a season full of accomplishments for head coach Jim Crowley and the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team.

On Saturday afternoon at the Cintas Center, the 10th-seeded Bonnies season came to an end as they fell to second-seeded Temple 84-60 in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

St. Bonaventure finishes with its first winning record in nine years as its 16 wins are tied for the most in program history at the Division I level.

Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Kamesha Hairston led the Owls with a game-high 19 points, while classmate Fatima Maddox added 14.

Temple (24-6) advances to tomorrow's semifinal game against the winner of Xavier and Saint Louis. Both semifinal games will be shown nationally on CSTV starting with No. 8/9 George Washington vs. Saint Joseph's at noon.

Playing in her final game in the Brown and White, senior Audrey Latendresse scored 14 points to move into 11th place in the Bona record books with 1,101 career points. Latendresse also finishes her career with 538 rebounds and 112 three-pointers good for 11th and sixth all-time, respectively.

The Bonnies trailed 41-21 at the half thanks to an abysmal shooting performance. Four of St. Bonaventure's season-low seven first half field goals came from beyond the arc as it shot 26 percent to open the game. On the flip side, the Owls shot 50 percent from the floor.

Temple refused to give up any ground to the Bonnies in the second half as it held a 20-point lead for the final 15 minutes of the game.

Junior Priscilla Edwards tied for the team-high with 14 points, while freshman Dana Mitchell reached double figures for the 22nd time this season with 11 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Erica Schiefen added eight points off the bench.

For the game, St. Bonaventure shot 37 percent (20-54) from the floor and 47 percent (8-17) from beyond the arc. The Owls won the battle of the glass 42-29 and shot 52 percent (35-68) from the field.
