PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - After a disappointing loss on Friday night, the St. Bonaventure women's soccer team bounced back in a big way on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 shutout win over Temple on Sunday at Ambler Sports Complex.

The impressive freshmen class fueled the team's first Atlantic 10 road win since October 10, 2004, scoring all three goals. Anna Cunningham led the way with her first two-goal performance of her career and keeper Amanda Prestigiacomo made four saves in her second career shutout .

"The difference between today and Friday's performance is that we played for a full 90 minutes," said head coach Manoj Khettry. "When you're on the road you always have to play a full game because any let down will cost you. Today we played for each other and when we do that we are a very good team."

The win gives St. Bonaventure a 5-9-2 overall mark, including a 2-5-1 record in the A-10. The Owls have now dropped six of their last seven contests and are 5-8-3 on the year.

Freshman Marilyn Wargo gave the Bonnies the early lead as she recorded her team leading sixth goal of the season in the 16th. Fellow freshmen Courtney Bosse set up Wargo for the eventual game-winner.

The score remained 1-0 until the final 10 minutes as Cunningham sealed the deal with goals in the 80th and 86th minute, respectively. Senior Jacquee Parmiter was credited with the assist on Cunningham's first goal, while Bosse picked up her second assist on the final tally.

St. Bonaventure will enjoy five days off from game action until it hosts Duquesne in its only game of the week on Saturday, October 27. Gametime at McGraw-Jennings Field is slated for 1 p.m.
