Bonnies blanked by Duquesne

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Duquesne on Saturday afternoon at McGraw-Jennings Field. The Dukes have now posted four straight shutouts and have won seven of their last eight games. With the win, Duquesne moves into sole possession of second place in the Atlantic 10 standings at 7-2. The Bonnies (5-10-2/2-6-1) will conclude their regular next weekend with a pair of home games. The Brown and White will begin by hosting La Salle on Friday at noon. Senior Day will be on Sunday against Fordham. Duquesne scored the only goal of the game in the 31st minute as Shannon Rengers connected on a cross from Kelly Reed. Rengers headed the ball past Bona keeper Amanda Prestigiacomo for the eventual game-winner. For the game, Duquesne held a 16-8 shots. Prestigiacomo provided the Bonnies with a bright spot in net, making seven saves.
