Women's Soccer
2007 recruiting class recognized by Soccer Buzz
May 14, 2007 ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The 2007 St. Bonaventure women's soccer recruiting class has earned a No. 14 ranking in the Northeast Region in a poll conducted by Soccer Buzz. The regional ranking is the first in program history and the incoming class is the first under second year head coach Manoj Khettry. Eight team's from the 14-team Atlantic 10 Conference earned regional ranks among the other four regions. Every team that earned a regional ranking is also ranked in the top 150 nationally. The Bonnies were ranked as the eighth-best class in the A-10. "We're ecstatic about having our first regionally ranked recruiting class, as well as, receiving our highest conference ranking ever," said Khettry. "Our goal with this class was to be in the top 4 of the conference, the top 15 regionally and the top 100 nationally. To have eight teams in the A-10 earn a ranking says a lot about the competitiveness and the talent level of our conference and how it is improving daily! I'm very proud of the hard work that everyone associated with our program, from the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Darryn Fiske, to our Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services, David Potter, and certainly my two Assistants, Richie Schreiner and Jaime Snyder put in to recruit such special student-athletes." St. Bonaventure's eight-member class hails from five different states. Courtney Bosse (Carmel, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit Prep), Sarah Clark (Zionsville, Pa./Emmaus), Anna Cunningham (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich./Grosse Point South), Jamie Dentino (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena), Nicole Market (Russell, Ohio/West Geauga), Amanda Prestigiacomo (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena), Megan Vos (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas Institute) and Marilyn Wargo (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) will join the Bonnies in the fall of 2007.
