ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Fresh off a two-goal performance in St. Bonaventure's season-opening win over Syracuse, women's soccer junior Courtney Bosse was recognized with the Atlantic 10 Conference's first Player of the Week award on Monday afternoon.
The weekly accolade is the second of Bosse's career.
The junior forward accounted for both St. Bonaventure goals on Saturday afternoon against the Orange, highlighted by her second career game-winning score in the 103rd minute of the second overtime. Bosse has now tallied a goal in two of three career season openers.
Bosse's four-point afternoon moved into a tie for 16th place all-time in the Bona record books with 34 career points. The multi-goal game was the second of Bosse's career, giving her 13 career goals.
Bosse and the Bonnies will be back in action this weekend with a pair of road games in the state of Michigan. The Brown and White will take on Central Michigan on Friday, Aug. 29 at 5 p.m., before heading to Oakland on Sunday for a 1 p.m. tilt.
