Bricker named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure junior softball infielder Brianna Bricker has been named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District teams by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bricker was a second team choice in District I. The Bonnies' third baseman hit .271 this season, tops on the team among starters. She also led the Bonnies in hits (32), home runs (5) and RBI (15). Bricker excelled in A-10 action, posting the league's third best batting average at .429. As a sophomore, Bricker was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference first team when she batted .324 with 10 home runs. Bricker, who is also a management sciences major, has better than 3.8 cumulative GPA.

Bricker is the fifth Bonaventure player to earn Academic All-District honors in the last three years. Joelle Brunetto and Lauren Krieger were named to the first team in 2006, while Kim Dodson and Laurie Stone were on the 2005 squad.
