Women’s swimming and diving adds four to 2010-11 roster

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure women's swimming head coach Seth Johnson announced the signing of three student athletes to National Letters of Intent and one grant-in-aid for the 2010-11 season.

Head diving coach Pat Bukowski welcomes Jessica McNulty (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville East), while Wendy Oleskiw (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sir James Dunn), Catherine Parker (Boca, Fla./Boca Raton) and Rebecca Schrenker (Charlotte, N.C./Providence) will swim for the Bonnies.

McNulty will be a strong addition to the diving team as she was a place finisher at Section 6 Sectionals and at the Erie County Interscholastic Conference (ECIC) championships for four years. The planned education major was also a member of the Divisional first place team each of her four years on the squad.

The native on Manitoba, Oleskiw was a 2008 Olympic Trial qualifier and the 2007 Pan American Games in the 50 free.  She is a three-time nationals qualifier from 2005-08. The New Orleans transfer posted a fourth-best 24.28 on the team in the 50 free at the Sun Belt Championship. She also swam in the 100 free, posting a time of 51.91.

Parker was part of the state runner-up team at Boca Raton High School.  She was also a junior Her 200-yard medley relay team won the state championship.  For her senior and junior year performances, she was named to the All-Area second team. The Bobcats also won two state championships while Parker took top finishes in the butterfly events. During her sophomore season she was named to the All-Area first team after Boca Raton won state, region, district and county titles.

Schrenker placed sixth in North Carolina in the 100-yard butterfly while on the Stingray Aquatics club team. During her senior year, the Providence High School alum led her team to a conference championship while picking up three top finishes. She placed second in the 100-butterfly and was part of the first-place 200-yard medley and the 200-yard freestyle relay teams. The planned pre-med major also picked up a third-place finish at the state regional in the 100-yard butterfly.

These four athletes also join McKenzie Courtney (Lima, Ohio/Shawnee), Whitney Daughtery (Louisville, Colo/Monarch), Molly Erickson (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois), Paige Gutowski (Amherst, N.Y.), and Paige Weslaski (Racine, Wis./J.I Case), who all signed in the early signing period in November.
