MONROEVILLE, Pa. - For the second time this season, the St. Bonaventure women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Xavier as the Bonnies were shutout by the fifth seeded Muskeeters during the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship at the Club 4 Life tennis complex.

Entering tomorrow morning's consolation match vs. #13 Saint Joseph's, the Bonnies have lost 13 straight matches in the spring season. The Brown and White have also struggled capturing points as St. Bonaventure has been shutout in all but two its 13 defeats since notching three straight victories earlier this season.

Xavier easily captured the doubles point with a pair of convincing wins, while the third result did not finish. The Musketeers also dominated singles play with wins in all six sets.

The Bonnies return to action at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning for a consolation match-up with the Hawks. It will be the two teams first meeting of the 2008 campaign.
