Women's Cross Country
The St. Bonaventure women's cross country team competes at the Stampede Invitational

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's cross country team placed 8th out of 11 teams on Saturday afternoon at the Stampede Cross Country Invitational. Freshman Sarah Popovics placed first in the 5K race for the Bona women in a time of 21:39 to take 60th out of a field of 117 runners. Senior Sarah Dressler took second with a time of 23:22 and an 82nd place finish overall. Senior Carrie Jackling and freshman Ashley Sandau finished within one second of each other with times of 23:42 and 23:43, respectively. Just over a minute later (25:11), senior Jesica Hendrick took 92nd place to complete the Bona top five. Seniors Margaret Kubiak (25:46) and Mary Harruff (25:51) were the last Bonnies to cross the line.
The Bonnies will compete again on Saturday, Sept. 30, running on their home course at the St. Bonaventure Alumni Invitational. The women's race begins at 11 a.m
