Bonnies end season at A-10 Championships

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The St. Bonaventure men's and women's cross country teams concluded their 2007 season with 14th place finishes at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships in Philadelphia Saturday morning.

The La Salle cross country units continued their dominance in the season-ending conference title races as the Explorer men captured their second straight A-10 championship, while the women's side picked up a fourth straight first place finish. Richmond crossed the finish line in second for both the men's and women's races.

In his A-10 Championship debut, Jimmy Burton paced the Bonnies' men with 133rd place finish in a time of 31:00.0 on the 8,000 meter course.

The duo of Junior Justin Isaman (31:13.0) and sophomore David Herlihy (31:13.0) finished together for 135th and 136th place finishes, respectively.

Freshman Rob Ryer (31:29.0/137th), freshmen Casey Krug (31:35.0/138th), sophomore Michael Grosso (32:20.0/139th), freshman Thomas Good (32:20.0/140th), sophomore Rahkeem Wright (34:47.0/141st), freshman Thomas Rosetti (35:10.0/142nd), freshman Andrew Gaieski (35:51.13/143rd) and freshman Scott Shelters (35:51.0/144th) rounded out the Brown and White men.

In her championship debut, freshman Caitlin Palmer posted her sixth best time of the season for the Bonnies with a 112th place finish with a time of 22:07.0.

Fellow classmate Jamie Sullivan crossed the line five spots later, posting a time of 22:29.0 in 117th place on the 5,000 meter course.

 

 

Freshman Keelan O'Connell (24:34.0/130th), freshman Kimberly Fuller (25:13.0/132nd), sophomore Ashley Sandau (25:29.0/134th), freshman Tabitha Slachciak (27:27.0/135th) and freshman Dana Phillips (27:53.0/136th) concluded the women's side.
